Stacked plates, cutlery and glass decanters remind us of the perished hands that once held them. Boots and shoes remind us of the feet that once fitted into them and jewelry reminds us of what may have been handed down through the coming generations. They are the only remains left of human existence on board the ghostly Titanic. No skulls or skeletal remains are to be found of those 1500 who perished on that fateful day. For although such inanimate objects may remain for over another 100 years, the flesh and blood of each of the victims gradually decomposed and floated from their bones, bones that became so soft that they dissolved into powder and dispersed into the earths oceans.
